One dancer · one scholarship · traditions carried forward

A child should not have to watch from the edge of the room.

A child can fall in love with the music before a family ever sees the cost of lessons, shoes, a skirt, travel, or the next performance. When money becomes the thing that says no, a scholarship lets us say yes.

The moment your gift reaches

The first uncertain step does not stay uncertain.

A dancer arrives watching everyone else. A maestra counts the music. The child tries the step, misses it, tries again, and eventually moves with the group. Later there is a skirt to hold, a stage entrance to remember, a family in the audience, and a tradition that now belongs to one more generation.

That is what the scholarship protects. Not a line item. The chance to practice until fear becomes confidence and a child who might have stayed home gets to step forward.

A direct, accountable giving path

Zeffy is the current public sponsorship channel for full dance scholarships. Rosas de María is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Board oversight, accurate accounting, donor acknowledgments, and clear public language remain part of every campaign.

Independent nonprofit. Community partnerships by choice.

Rosas de María is its own recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its Board governs the organization, its programs, its fundraising, its contracts, and the stewardship of its resources directly under the organization’s own policies and applicable law.

North Valley Community Foundation remains a valued community partner and an available fundraising mechanism when that relationship is useful to a particular campaign or donor. It is not Rosas de María’s fiscal sponsor, governing body, or approval authority.

The practical standard remains simple: generosity should become instruction, access, performance, and a living tradition for the next generation.

Working board · committees · volunteers

Help lead Rosas de María.

Rosas de María is growing, and so is the work behind every class, costume, performance, scholarship and community partnership. We are seeking additional working board members, committee leaders and volunteers who want to preserve Mexican culture and build an organization capable of serving families for generations.
